2 NEAR DROWNING EXPERIENCES TO NCAA SWIMMER
I "learned to swim" at 5. I had passed the course, but was not a strong swimmer at all. Between the ages of about 8 and 10, I vividly remember two separate occasions where I almost drowned. Once at a public pool, and once at the beach. Then, at the "late" age of 11, I became a competitive swimmer. I had to quickly build stamina and strength in order to just be able to finish a practice. I reached my goal of becoming a NCAA Division I Athlete.
